Dr. Carolyn Alexander Brown is a former teacher and administrator from High Point, North Carolina, who believes in the power of Supporting, Encouraging, and Equipping teachers and parents in meeting the ever-changing needs of children (I SEE).
She is a leading authority on establishing vital relationships with students and parents that serve as a foundation to understanding the unique needs required to motivate and engage them in the teaching and learning process.
Dr. Brown is an educator, motivational speaker and learning coach, who is adept in challenging teachers to dig deeper to create a healthy school culture and climate by making vital connections with students and their families. In her work, Dr. Brown cultivates a greater sense of purpose among educators and ingeniously stretches them to envision and actualize growth for all children beyond their current status. She provides teachers with research-based strategies geared to meet the unique teaching and learning needs of their students.
Having served in multiple Title I schools where high percentages of families live in poverty, she understands the parent involvement challenges encountered by families and educators and diligently works to sustain home-school collaborative partnerships that create space for parent advocacy and agency.
Dr. Brown’s passion for continuous growth has inspired her own educational journey. She has earned a B.S. in Biology from Clark Atlanta University, a M.S. in Biology-Education from North Carolina A & T State University, and a Master of School Administration and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
